P.S. Albion

About the model

PS Albion (British Channel Paddle Steamer).

Prototype history (click)
This handsome paddle steamer was built in 1893 and was a well known vessel in the Bristol channel in the early part of the 20th. century. Our hull is made from a mould made from a Brian King plug. The lines have been increased in depth under the waterline by 5/8″ to increase displacement for a working model. Plans are full size and drawn by P.N.Thomas and supplied by X-List plans service. Model is more suited to the experienced modeller as NO construction detail is shown for hull or paddle wheels, however the paddle boxes can be modified during construction to take the Graupner paddle sets by the more experienced builders. An attractive model off a fine vessel.
