Danny Boy is a representative model of a typical Herring Drifter of the early part of the 20th century, and is based on a variety of builders drawings.
Superbly detailed and very atmospheric Danny Boy is a builders dream, lift off the capstan cover to reveal a replica of the twin cylinder steam engine which powered the capstan!

Danny Boy is not based on an individual Prototype, but is representative of a typical Herring Drifter of the 1920's seen in their hundereds at UK ports during the boom in herring fishing until the early post war period.
